This is a classic drop point utility knife forged from 5160 high carbon steel and made for hard use. It has a full tang design and I kept it thick through the spine and into the tang to add strength.
The handle has brass embellishments brazed into the spine. The scales are made from stabilized Applewood burl paired with moose antler. The grain of both the burl and the antler have a coarse feel that i kept while finish sanding to aid in gripping the handle. The handle itself is roomy with contouring to aid in hard use or use while gloved.
The Sheath is made from locally sourced chrome tanned black leather. The stainless steel clasp is extra heavy duty. the sheath is designed for “scout carry”, meaning it is designed to be carried at the small of the back horizontally.
