This gorgeous specimen specimen is the result of some literal blood and and sweat! I started with my usual 1095 high carbon steel, then carefully began setting the bevels. On the left side of the blade I added a shallow hollow grind above the blade to help keep material from sticking to the blade during rapid chopping. After heat treat, I was so happy with how the blade had turn out I undertook the task of taking the hardened steel up to mirror polish. In turn, the polish turned out se well I had no choice but to add some Ebony Gabon handle slabs accented with brass spacers and black fiber liners. Ebony is one of the rarest, most expensive woods commercially available today, and has exceptional durability in addition to its striking black color. Then it was back to the buffer wheel, with the result being this knife. It’s very difficult to photograph a reflective surface, and this knife looks much better in person. Overall, this is a premium knife that I’m very proud of and represents some of my finest work to date.

Overall length: 13-1/8’’

blade length: 8-1/4’’

blade thickness: 1/8’’

blade hardness: 58-60 HRC

note: this knife is not sharpened in the photographs but will ship sharpend
