This is a slicer/carving knife typically for meat preparation.
It’s forged from reclaimed 5160 high carbon steel, then brought to a high finish.
The handle is made from stabilized big leaf maple with a black phenolic ferrule. There is poor fitment between the handle and ferrule (pictured) so I discounted the price accordingly.
