This is an excellent example of a stylized traditional chef’s knife. The blade was forged from reclaimed 5160 steel, reclaimed from a Hudson Motor Co. suspension. It was forged to 95% of its final shape, then hand ground to a matte finish. The blade itself has a dark patina applied.
The guard and pommel are both 308 stainless, silver brazed in place. The handle slabs are stabilized Zebrawood with a Padauk inlay. It is a Roomy grip, with a finger relief and design allowance for a pinch-grip.
