Smol stout dagger - Ivory
This is a fun little knife. It is short and stout, with a solid feel in the hand. I forged the blade from 1095 high carbon steel, and it uses a through-tang design. The brass guard is silver brazed in place, and backed with polished Mammoth Ivory sourced from northern Alaska. The stacked leather handle is capped off with a piece of reclaimed African Ebony Gaboon and a brass pommel cap.
The chrome tanned black leather sheath has excellent passive retention paired with a flap closure and snap clasp.
sheathed length 7 3/4’’
overall length 6 1/8’’
2 15/16’’ blade length
blade thickness 1/8’’
