This is a supercool knife designed for use by supercool people. I forged the blade from 1095 high carbon steel sourced from an old bastard file. The blade is carefully fit into a mild steel tang, then brazed in place. I forged a ring from spring steel then brazed that into place to form the finger hole. All the steel was then blackened, because forced patinas are cool.
The handle is composed of Wooly Mammoth Ivory between ironwood and separated with brass inlays. Both edges of the handle have deep file patterns, which proved to be a challenge to photograph.
The simple sheath is made from chrome tanned brown leather. It’s locally sourced and sports black stitching with brass furniture.
