The Red Baron
This is an oddball knife! I had originally forged the 5160 high carbon blade to be 8’’ long, but was concerned the blade was too thin for its length. So I clamped it in the vice and hit it with a wooden mallet to check! It bent in the middle so I cut it off below the bend and reformed the blade.
The result is a short blade with a stout handle and robust guard silver brazed in place. The padauk handle fits a large to extra large hand and features large open rivets. The sheath is made from hand dyed veg tanned leather sourced locally. It can accommodate a 1’’ belt.
The price has been reduced due to it’s unorthodox inception.
